Welcome to paradise - Tropic Sunrise Holiday Units is a small family owned and operated apartment resort which comprises 20 fully self-contained One and Two Bedroom units and motel style Studio apartments.

Our garden makes you feel you're in a Tropical North Queensland Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef is at your back door! We are a small 3 star rated budget property that takes pride in providing comfortable, affordable accommodation close to the Cairns city centre.

With two generations of family members on site we have the ability and local knowledge to advise on places of interest to see and help you to choose the tours which best suit you.

Do you need a stress break, want to see natures best, crave adventure or just wish to relax? If you're young at heart, young of body, have ankle biters, mothers, fathers, or in-laws in tow, we will help you have a holiday to remember.

Tour the Atherton Tablelands waterfalls, experience the treetops from the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to Kuranda, explore the beaches of Palm Cove and Trinity beach, see exclusive Port Douglas, cruise the crocodile Daintree river, walk the Cape Tribulation rainforest, discover the wonders of the reef at Green Island, snorkel and scuba dive the Outer Barrier Reef, see the sunrise from a Hot Air Balloon, get wet and wild White Water Rafting or just have a day off and relax in the sunshine!

We are located mid way between the airport and city centre (approximately 3km to each) with the convenience of a city bus stop right outside our gate.

Across the street is a small grocery store, chemist shop, doctors surgery, hair salon, fresh seafood shop, tavern and liquor store, 24hr fuel station, several take-a-ways (chinese, chicken) as well as an antique and craft store

The Esplanade waterfront and parklands are a short stroll and provide a cool peaceful atmosphere to view the mountain backdrop to Cairns.
